1840 1d black pl.8 EG and EI in combination with 1840 2d blue pl.2 TG, tied on 1841 cover by crisp, clear black MC strikes, sent from Gosport to London, touched in places and EG defective at top left, though barely detracting from this rare and truly desirable exhibition showpiece; cert. BPA (2009).
