1840 1d black pl.1a TJ, A superb unused imprimatur from the first registration sheet (before hardening), large balanced margins all round, a lovely fresh example and very rare being one of only 28 removed from the sheet, many of which are in institutional collections; cert. BPA (1993); ex Durham.
