Description
1901 (25 April) 1d. paste up essay in black with photographic head and retouching by hand mounted on thick card (90 x 115mm.) very rare. ex De La Rue Archives. Cat £6000.
In a letter from Sandringham Emil Fuchs reported the qualified approval of the King and Queen for the new designs. On the 8th May approval was confirmed.
