1900 (Mar 16) envelope with 1899 (-) black on bistre yellow “COMMANDO BRIEF / FRANKO” stamp, sent locally and tied by Kroonstad cds with further strike below, some toning to the envelope otherwise fine and very scarce as this stamp was in use for only about six months during the Second Boer War.
