1877 (Sep 18) Entire sent registered to London with 1863-77 perf.12 1/2 4d bright rose and 6d lilac pair, tied by “A05” barred ovals with Nassau registered cds at lower left, endorsed at top left “Registered” with ms “1” and “5”, very fine and attractive, a very rare and important franking, possibly the earliest recorded franked mail from the Bahamas; cert. BPA (1975); ex “Staircase”.
