Description
1841 1d red pl.12 AA-BC in block of 6 on wrapper to Lubeck (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany) from Hastings with good to large margins and six fine strikes of black MC, “2” in manuscript applied in Germany for the local delivery charge. The block has been lifted and replaced (for cleaning and to flatten out a crease) but a very scarce and attractive cover going abroad; cert. Holcombe (1992).
