Romania, Austrian consular Agency in Giurgevo ~1865: Cover from Giurgiu to Sommerda, Germany, bearing 1864 Arms 10 s. blue perf. 9½, a horizontal pair and a single adhesive in slightly different shades, fine and fresh examples, tied by superb “GIURGEVO 26 / 8” cds in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 748). Reverse with part SOMMERDA arrival cds. Upper backflap missing, in spite of this an attractive and interesting usage to an unexpectedly rare destination. Signed A.
