Description
1859 (10 Feb) outer letter sheet to Marseille, France bearing the remarkable five value franking with 2gr plate III, 5gr plate II, 10gr plate I, 20gr plate I and 50gr rosa lillaceo, apart from top of 5gr the margins are all good to large, red framed PD at right above the red French entry cds. The 87gr rate being three times the standard 29gr with a manuscript “3” at left under 50gr., a splendid usage of the 50gr; cert. Raybaudi (1995), Vaccari (2017) and Manzoni (2025).
