Description

1823 Entire handwritten “Con Cap” and given to an authority somewhere in Rommeli or Morea with lilac-brown oval cachet, then forwarded to the Ionian Island with arrival 31.12.1823, green “ISOLE JONIE” (Vl. 1), a small black seal alongside probably the private seal of the sender; the only known item with the cachet of a Greek Authority; very fine and rare.
