Routed via Brockville, Montreal, New York, carried on Cunard “Persia” via Liverpool, London to Brighton, then re-addressed with 1d red watermark Large Crown, white paper, perf. 14 pl.57 tied by Brighton sideways duplex to Richmond (Surrey).This represents the 10d letter rate via New York or Boston to the United Kingdom valid from February 1856.
