1853 Money Letter Entire – Woodstock to TorontoEntire sent from Woodstock, bearing green INGERSOLL U.C., AP 25 1853 circular datestamp and a straight-line “MONEY LETTER” handstamp in green, along with “3D” in circle handstamp, addressed to Toronto with arrival backstamp. Very fine.Note: Illustrated in Harrison, Registered Mail. This is an early example of Canadian money letter usage prior to widespread adoption of stamps.
