Wrapper addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Toronto, bearing manuscript “3” crossed by two strikes of concentric circles, with “Free” handstamp and red “REGISTERED”. Dated with red WAKEFIELD C.E. circular datestamp, manuscript date Aug 19/57, sent via Ottawa with transit backstamp and arrival cds. Colourful and attractive.
Note: Official free-mail usage cancelled the original “3” rating, while registration required a 1d fee within Canada.
