Description
1852–57 Issue: 6d slate-grey on medium wove together with a block of six of the ½d rose (positions 83–84, 95–96 and 107–108; position 96 showing a re-entry), all neatly tied by “42” numeral cancellations on entire, with SHERBROOKE L.C JA 9 1858 circular datestamp, addressed to Magog.
A striking triple-rate letter, exhibiting a rare and highly unusual franking combination, further enhanced by the large multiple of the ½d value and the recorded re-entry.
