1852–57 3d Brown-Red, Vertical Pair on Cover to USA
Vertical pair of 3d brown-red, first printing on wove paper, good margins all around, similarly cancelled, on cover from Toronto, 19 September 1852, with additional red PAID handstamp from the Miss Parkman correspondence.
Paying the 6d U.S. letter rate, valid from 1 July 1851, a fine example of early Canadian stamp usage and correspondence provenance.
