A fine collection written-up on pages sent during WWII with censored airmail covers of Prisoner of War mail to Germany with violet framed five line handstamp ‘This letter formed part of undelivered mails which fell into the hands of the Allied Forces in Germany. It is undeliverable as addressed, and is therefore returned to you’, six covers with two different sizes of handstamp, eight covers from German Internees at Curragh Camp to their homeland routed via Lisbon and Cuxhaven and therefore franked at 8d rate (Airmail not being free) with fine red framed Eire censorship, one 1942 cover incoming to the camp similarly censored, internal Internee mails with similar censorship plus a red Military Internee handstamp, other incoming and outgoing covers, some to overseas, nearly all with red handstamps but also two in violet plus a piece with proofs of handstamp in this colour; good to fine condition and a rare opportunity to acquire such a comprehensive collection (50).
