1853 1c vermilion (original printing) unused, pos.5, with fine to very large margins, fresh vibrant colour, small tear at top right just encroaching the design and small thin, otherwise a very fine example of an extremely scarce unused stamp (we have recorded only 6 examples in very fine or better condition); ex Ackerman, Towne, Bernard, Granger; cert.
