1950 (23 April) First field Army cover from Sining franked with gold yuan $1000 overprinted People’s Post Gansu, arriving 7 May. Also with return letter slip of 11 May from Chuanxian with Ledu arrival and red seal of Military unit. there was no free mail during 1950 interim period after the First Field Army Post was disbanded and before the circular military free franking dater was introduced.
