Lot 60483 – Nepal stamps, postal stationery and postal history

1880s to 1970s collection in album starting with a signed photograph of King Mahendra, stamps with 1886 1a and 2a used, 1890 2a and 4a used, 1899 1/2a pale red, 1917 issues with 2a vertical tête-bêche used, 1930s issues including 8p rose-red imperf between vertical pair unused, later sets with high degree of completeness with some varieties including 1959 4p imperf between horizontal pair mint n.h. to 1970, postal stationery cards unused and used, postal history from 1900s all identified and neatly written-up with details on postmarks, shades, paper types, plate flaws, perforation faults, etc. Very good section of classic letters, incl. 1a 1881 on letter, multi-franked covers to Germany, Expedition covers, used aerogrammes, and more. A very fine basis for expansion with much rarely-seen material; good to fine.
