GURA IALOMITEI: 1837 Postal document regarding a courier payment and containing two messages, the top message, dated April 25, is written by the Gura Ialomitei Post and confirms the receipt of 20 lei for a courier (stafeta) sent to the Calarasi Quarantine under No. 203, the second message below, dated April .., is written by the Gura Ialomitei Quarantine and confirms the receipt/handling of the said twenty lei, the document bears a 1834 type very clear, pictorial, negative seal of the Gura Ialomitei Quarantine station, extremely rare, apparently unique

Note: It is the only 1834 mark of the Gura Ialomitei Quarantine known on the philatelic market, the only known usage of a quarantine document in regards to a courier and the only one bearing the signature of both the post and the quarantine offices.
