1854 (24.9) Postal order (Inam): Decorative, pre-printed form requesting Casa Postelor (Post House) to send a mounted courier from post to post from Jassy to Roman and Bakeu. It bears a large, ornate oval black seal showing Moldavian coat of arms and reading ”Principality of Moldavia, Administrative Council 1845” – very fine, attractive and scarce. Atop of the document there is a manuscript notation reading” This Inam having been used was passed through Treasury and sent to the Controller for investigation” and signed Karanfil.

The post house shall immediately dispatch a courier under No….. with mounted courier from post to post from here form Jassy up to Roman and Bacau and payment shall be paid based on one horse by the Treasury (black, oval stamp: Principality of Moldavia, Administrative Council 1845) Great Treasurer (signature)
