Lot 60095 – 1818 very early transatlantic pre-philalatelic

1818 very early transatlantic pre-philalatelic mail from Holy land to Rio de Janeiro /Brazil : entire letter dated internally ‘22 Giugno 1818 = 22 June 1818’ from holy city Gerusalem/Jerusalem to Rio de Janeiro via Lisbon. The transit port for crossing the Atlantic Ocean endorsed at left bottom side of the cover front as ‘Lisbona’. This is one of the earliest recorded pre-philatelic transatlantic entire from Holy land and the only recorded stampless period cover to Brazil. Certificare Nakri.
