Folded cover from Leon to Itxassou (Pyrenees), despatch pmk LEON DE LOS ALAMOS and FRANCA EN LEON, reverse bears “large-arc” ST:-THOMAS AP29 1862 ds, London transit and CAMBO 17 MAI 62 arrival cds, 2 reals for the Mexico-St.Thomas rate, due to the invasion of Mexico by France, the time for shipping letters between Mexico and St.Thomas was about 2 1/2 months
