RARE “TOO LATE” POSTMARK

1852 Folded entire to Copenhagen dated St. Croix 29 July 1852 sent to St.Thomas on the 31st after closing of the mail bag for SS “Magdalena”. As no “Late fee” was paid, the letter was held in the PO until the next Packet, carried by SS “Medway” which left on 17 August for arrival at Southampton on 5 September, extremely rare strightline “TOO LATE” on reverse, apparently only two recorded, very fine
