Post-Gupta, Sasanka dynasty, king of Gauda, c. 600-635, AV dinar, 8.91 g. (19 mm). Obverse: lord Shiva nimbate, seated facing on recumbent Bull facing to left, Brahmi legend Jaya below the bull at right, with moon at upper left. Reverse: Goddess Lakshmi nimbate, seated cross-legged on a lotus holding a lotus in left hand and two Elephants are pouring water over her. A very rare issue. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, 18.4.2, Class I.
VF, struck on a rusty die, slight lustre shows, some surface porosity of the metal.
