Kushanas, Huvishka, c. 151-192, AV quarter dinar, 1.98 g. (12 mm). Obverse: diademed and crowned half-length bust to left on clouds, holding mace-scepter, encircled by Bactrian inscription ÞAONANOÞAO O-OHÞKI KOÞANO (king of kings Huvishka Kushan). Reverse: Miro standing facing, head to left with halo, right hand raised in benediction, left holding long scepter or spear, tamgha to left, Bactrian legend MIRO in right field.
Miro was the solar deity Mithra, the Iranian version of the Greek god Helios.
AU, well struck with a attractive high relief, lustrous surfaces.
