Broche barrette en or rose 585 et platine 850, ornée d’une turquoise cabochon en serti griffes, ceinte d’une ligne de 14 diamants taille ancienne. Longueur : 4 cm. Poids brut : env. 4,4 g. Caractéristique de l’esthétique édouardienne du début du XXe siècle, cette broche illustre l’association typique de l’époque entre l’or rose et le platine, deux métaux dont le contraste soulignait la finesse du travail de sertissage. Bar brooch in 14k rose gold and platinum 850, set with a claw-set turquoise cabochon surrounded by a line of 14 old-cut diamonds. Length: 4 cm. Gross weight: approx. 4.4 g. Characteristic of the Edwardian aesthetic of the early twentieth century, this brooch exemplifies the period’s signature combination of rose gold and platinum — two metals whose contrast enhanced the delicacy of the setting work.
