L’œuvre Bouquet de soucis, exécutée en 1929, illustre parfaitement sa maîtrise du clair-obscur et son intérêt pour les natures mortes florales aux contrastes marqués. Cette toile, aux harmonies chaudes et à la facture précise, témoigne de l’influence de la peinture post-impressionniste tout en affirmant une sensibilité propre à l’artiste.
Ce tableau fut récompensé par une medaille d’ or lors de l’Exposition de Bologne 1929.
