JOHN LENNON (1940-1980). CROQUIS RECTO-VERSO. Deux étonnantes esquisses au crayon de part et d’autre d’une page d’un carnet de croquis, exécutées par John Lennon pendant sa première année à l’école d’art de Liverpool, comprenant un mince percussionniste au pied en forme de pelle et, au verso, divers musiciens aux yeux multiples et aux membres étranges jouant de différents instruments. Les images sont assez surréalistes et expriment la personnalité rebelle de Lennon pendant son court séjour à l’école. Avec quelques pliures et déchirures qui ont été bien recollées. Pièce très rare. 24 x 15,5 cm

JOHN LENNON (1940-1980). DOUBLE-SIDED SKETCH. A couple of amazing pencil sketches on either side of a page from a sketch book, executed by John Lennon during his first year at Liverpool Art School, comprising of a thin shovel-footed percussionist and on the verso comprising various multi-eyed , strange limbed musicians playing different instruments. The images are quite surreal and express Lennon’s rebel personality during his short time at the College. With a few bends and tears which have been well re-joined together. Very scarce item. 24 x 15,5 cm
