Gupta Empire, Prakashaditya, c. 490-515, AV dinar, 9.21 g. (19 mm). Obverse: ‘horseman slaying lion’ type; king riding horse prancing right, bow slung across torso and holding sword and slaying lion leaping left; to right, Garuda standard; Brahmi ru below horse. Reverse: Lakshmi seated facing on lotus, holding diadem and long-stemmed lotus left, tamgha to left, Brahmi legend to right, Sri Prakashaditya.Rare in this quality.
About EF details, small punch mark in the field above the rear of the horse, with raised surfaces around this punch mark, possibly from the striking; small scratches touch the punch mark.
