Gupta Empire, Skandagupta, c. 455-467, AV dinar, 9.20 g. (18 mm). Obverse: ‘archer’ type, king standing left, holding longbow in left hand, arrow in right, Garuda standard at left, Brahmi legend under arm, Skanda, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi seated facing on lotus, holding diadem and long-stemmed lotus left, tamgha to left, Brahmi legend at right.
About EF, large flan with a high relief, lustre shows through, some flat areas on the high spots from the striking.
