Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II, c. 380-413, AV dinar, 7.68 g. (20 mm). Obverse: ‘lion slayer’ type; king shooting an arrow at lion to left. Reverse: Lakshmi sitting on couchant lion, holding long-stemmed lotus flower in her left hand, and diadem in right, with tamgha to left and Brahmi legend to right, Simhavikrama. Kumar TOTGE 2024, Class III, variety B. A very rare type with the lion appearing on the left side.
