Kushanas, Shaka, c. mid-4th century, AV dinar, 7.43 g. (19 mm). Obverse: Shaka, standing facing, head with halo left, wearing conical decorated hat, sacrificing over altar and holding staff, trident with ribbons to left, with Brahmi inscription Shaka at right, and sita under the king’s arm. Reverse: Ardoksho enthroned, facing, holding garland and cornucopia, tamgha left.
About EF, lustre shows through, stress cracks from the strike on some parts of the edge.
This type has the Brahmi character sita under the king’s arm.
