Kushanas, Kanishka II, c. 230-247, AV dinar, 7.46 g. (19 mm). Obverse: Kanishka, standing facing, head left, sacrificing over altar and holding staff with ribbon; trident with ribbon to left, Bactrian inscription around. Reverse: Ardoksho enthroned, facing, holding diadem and cornucopia, Bactrian APΔOXþO, Ardoksho, to right, tamgha left, within dotted border.
VF-EF, minor flan flaws on the edge, lustre shows through, good details.
On this rare coin, Kanishka II re-introduces the goddess of plenty, Ardoksho, a common depiction on coins of Kanishka I and Huvishka.
