Description
Great Britain, Victoria, Gold Proof Sovereign, 1871, 8 g. (21 mm), engraved after William Wyon. Obverse: young head left of third style. Reverse: St George on horse slaying the dragon, 1871 beneath dragon with B.P. to upper right.
Light hairlines in fields both sides, otherwise practically as struck and rare.
