1860 (5.3) Folded letter sheet from Messina to Genova, franked 50 Gr. brown lake (lacca bruno) and 5 Gr. plate II, bright vermilion (vermiglio vivo), tied framed cancels, each fresh with four margins, endorsed to travel by French ship with three-line red handstamp PIROCAFI POSTALI FRANCESI, arrival backstamp.

A wonderful Fifty Grana usage paying the ship letter rate, two and a half sheets to Sardinia by French Packet, charged “4” on arrival, Sardinian 2nd step weight letter.
