1856 (30 Apr) Envelope from Bath to Tuscany, Italy, bearing 1847–54 6d vertical pair (close to large margins) and 1d Red “Star,” all tied by Bath “53” sideways duplexes in blue-black. Endorsed “Italia via France,” with French transit markings, paying the 1855 Anglo-French Convention 1s1d rate for under ¼ oz. Reverse with London and Firenze arrival backstamps. Some minor toning and envelope creasing; fine.
