1856 (25 Apr) Wrapper sent registered to New York, bearing Embossed 1s green die 2 in horizontal strip of four with clear to good margins, and 6d Mauve with just touched to large margins, tied by Liverpool registered “spoon” cancels. Paying the registered fee plus quadruple Transatlantic charge, sent by Cunard Packet “Baltic”. “20 Cents” and “Paid” handstamps in red. Slight soiling and backflap with faults. An attractive and rare combination.
