Lot 20099 – GB 1847-54 Embossed 10d brown in block of six, tied “131” postmarks of Edinburgh to piece
1847–54 10d Brown, block of six with clear to large margins and trimmed (chamfered) corners, well clear of the design. Tied by “131” postmarks of Edinburgh (Scotland), with traces of horizontal crease above lower pair, and arrival strike of Kirkwall alongside. A magnificent showcase item; used blocks of this size are extremely scarce. (SG £8,000 for block of four only).
