Description
1840 2d Blue, Plate 1 (FE–GF) Brilliant Mint Block of Four — Dublin FindAn exceptional and highly desirable multiple, this block of four (FE–GF) is presented in a strong, bright shade with even, well-balanced margins. The block retains almost full original gum, with the superb lower pair remaining unmounted (never hinged). A minor fold/disturbance in the upper margin, typical of blocks from this famous find, is noted for accuracy and does not detract from the block’s outstanding appearance and deep, rich colour.
A key exhibition-quality block, combining rarity, freshness, and visual impact, and a highlight of any advanced collection.
