1840 1d Black, Plate 7, MF. Four-margined single on cover from London to Ventnor, Isle of Wight, tied by red Maltese Cross, light London “T.P.” sub-office marking alongside, H 25 JY 1840 despatch cds on reverse. An attractive cover and an early use of an envelope.
