1840 1d Black, Plate 4, LD, LK, LF, and LE. Four singles on entire letter from Cork Barracks, 8th September 1840, to London. Each stamp with four margins, tied by indistinct red Maltese Crosses. Cork SE 9 1840 departure cds, SE 10 and SP 12 1840 transit via Dublin, and arrival marks. Four single 1d Blacks on an entire are seldom seen—a scarce Irish cover from Cork.
