Description

France – 1849 Ceres first issue, a very impressive range of eleven glass clichés, incl. a master negative of the 15c dated July 1947 with production notes, 10c and 15c clichés in blue with integrated cancellation, and a negative cliché 15c, also two mirror image clichés of 1fr in vermilion, one with production annotations at base listing room temperature, the application of a chemical substance, and the duration of light exposure. A stunning and unique range that documents in the medium of glass the complicated manufacturing process of Sperati’s reproductions.
