Group of contemporary articles about the 1896 Olympics, incl. “Helios” monthly magazine from January 1892 to December 1896, bound with a hardboard cover with some articles on the Olympic Games, and “The City” political weekly magazine from April 5th 1887 to 18th Nov 1890 bound in 2 volumes (seemingly complete but with some copies as replacements) with supposedly some references to the Zappas Olympics of 1888, two “Le Tour du Monde” 1896 travel publicity brochures to Greece and the Olympic Games, “TA OLYMPIA” Greek newspaper 23rd March 1896, two editions of the “La Bicyclette” French magazine for 2nd April and 30th April 1896 with reports about the Games (Spiridon illustrated on front cover of one), and several extracts about the revival of the modern Olympics from books in English, plus 1891 “La Revue Athlétique” book no.8.
