Army Official: 1897 (Aug 5) large format O.H.M.S. envelope Registered from Cardiff to Halifax Nova Scotia, bearing an irregular block of nine, block of four and pair of the 1/2d. vermilion, and blocks of nine, four, pair and two singles of the 1d. lilac, each overprinted “ARMY OFFICIAL” and neatly cancelled by Cardiff c.d.s.; a remarkable franking, in a very good state of preservation considering its size; a great rarity.
