1855 (Jul 31) entire from London to Amsterdam, bearing 1854-57 1d. red-brown, Pl. 4, TD, die 3, and 1855 4d. carmine on highly glazed slightly blued paper pair, each cancelled by London inland numeral “17” in black; used on the first day of issue, a very rare first day usage of the first Surface Printed stamp. Unique with no others known.
