Description

Larne: 1841 1d red-brown pl.33 RK with four large to very large margins on lettersheet from Larne to Dublin tied (just at left) by a superb strike of the very scarce Larne MC in dark green. Reverse with Larne cds in matching green and Dublin arrival, vertical filing fold affects the stamp, a fine cover and a great Irish rarity; cert. MacDonnell Whyte (2004); ex Moxter (S.G. Spec B1sd, unpriced).
