Description

1840 1d. black pl.1a. TD, matched pair of imprimaturs with good to very large margins all round, from the first registration sheet “Before Hardening” and the second registration sheet “After Hardening”, clearly displaying the wear between the 15th and 27th April 1840, the dates when the plates were registered. An essential addition to a line engraved exhibit; cert BPA (2007) for each.
