1pi Claret, perforation 13, from the worn plate showing without dot between “P” and “E” of “PE”, on 1866 (31.7) envelope from Alexandria to Tanta, tied “retta” cancel with “POSTE VICE-REALI EGIZIANE / ALESSANDRIA” cds in red alongside, arrival bs, an attractive and rare usage of the perforation 13.
Note: The red cancel was only in use for 51 days as per Peter Smith page 153.
