1854 entire written by Isaac Hughes (a Griqualand missionary) from Griquatown to London, bearing 4d deep blue (SG 2) and 4d deep blue (SG 4), the latter lifted for examination and replaced by hinge. Colesberg departure, Cape Town transit and London arrival strikes in red on reverse. Some minor soiling, a scarce and desirable Griqualand cover; cert. BPA (1997).
