Description
1839 (January 15th) Unpaid folded entire sent from Kilcock to Summerhill, Dublin and rated “5”, on arrival the letter was put into the Dublin Penny Post and endorsed “Redirected at” with italic 2-line “Drumcondra / Penny Post”, and endorsed “Mr. Richmond Ballack”, plus a black circular “DUBLIN 1′ PENNY POST” hs alongside, very fine and scarce.

Note: In 1837 a circular type was introduced showing the “1d” in the centre.
